Sacred Coven Member's Expectations

These are the expectations that all members of Sacred Coven must observe.  These rules are common sense, and have earned our guild a very good reputation on World of WarCraft server Deathwing.  Failure to support the rules will be grounds for immediate removal from Sacred Coven.

Besides these basic rules I would like to say that every one in Sacred Coven are more then helpful but I *must* point out that people have their own characters to advance and if nobody can run you through an instance there is always the meeting stones and the LFG public channels.  People who cannot stand on their own feet and play their characters on their own will probably not fit into our community and will be removed if they continue to hassle other members.  Nobody wants to continually baby-sit.  Thanks ~Ulan

  1. No cursing in guild chat.  It is rude, disrespectful, and is not tolerated

  2. Do not cheat, hack, grief, or ninja, PERIOD!  This is cause for instant and permanent removal from Sacred Coven

  3. Participate… in game, in Ventrilo, on the website, etc.  An active guild is a fun guild!

  4. This is your guild… this in not a second job, we are here to have fun… this should be like a family.

  5. Take care of your family.  If a member of our guild is having a problem, back them up.  If it involves another player, or guild, do everything (reasonably) within your power to make everyone happy.  If that is not possible, just leave.  Drop the group, and leave.  Write down what happened, and explain it to an officer.  Write down EXACTALLY what happened, not with a biased slant… officers will back you up, but not if you make us look foolish.

  6. In-guild disagreements will be solved in private and between the parties involved (keep you nose out of other peoples business)  If (and only if) you can’t come to an agreement find an officer that is not busy and explain the situation.  Don’t let your feelings get hurt if the decision is not in your favor, as officers will be unbiased in conflicts such as this.

  7. Do not attempt to publicly defame other players.  If you have a problem with a player, take it to them, or to an officer.

  8. Harassment or discrimination of any nature (sexual, racial, religious, etc) will NOT be tolerated. Period.

  9. Do not do anything that will bring disgrace to Sacred Coven.  This includes foul language, disruptive behavior, spamming, being obnoxious, buying gold or items for cash outside of game (yes, this is illegal), excessive greifing and/or taunting (there is a fine line here. Use common sense and know when enough is enough)

  10. Respect the decisions of officers and raid leaders.  Know that anyone that is put in charge of a raid knows what they are talking about and you should respect the way that they run the raid.

  11. Follow all “good conduct” rules of the game. i.e. respect class sets on rolls (warlocks need dreadmist before shadow priests, warriors need valor before pallies, etc.).  Know the difference between is an upgrade and WILL USE (need) and is a little better and COULD USE (greed)

  12. Any officer has the right to remove any player from this guild at any time if they see fit.

  13. We all get upset from time to time, but please remember… this is a GAME!!!

  14. Share… remember, this is a family… we will all work to help each other.  Selling items in guild chat is, therefore quite frowned upon.

  15. We will never have a “mandatory” event… all planned events are encouraged, but this is about having fun, this is NOT a second job.

  16. Please keep in mind that not all players are at the same skill level (we all started at level 1 on some game, at some time) and please try to help guildies to improve their skills, not make them feel bad for not being as “uber” as you.

    17. If you apply as a raider, you are expected to be a raider.

Guild Ranks

Accensi - When someone gets invited to join the guild they are given this rank. The idea is that it gives both the new member and the existing members a chance to get to know one another and make sure the person will fit into our community. In order for an Accensi to be promoted to Guardian they must be seen as someone who participates and flourishes in the guild.  No member should remain a Accensi for longer than thirty days.  If you have been a Accensi for more then thirty days the player may be removed from the guild upon review of officers.

Guardian - this rank is the core of the guild. They have passed through the Accensi rank and hopefully have gotten to know a good percentage of the existing members and understand and are comfortable with the way we do stuff.  Chances are an Accensi knows most of the words to the guild song and can mumble through the rest.

Legionaire
- For the Guardians who have been in the guild long enough to venture into T6 content a few times receive this rank. This rank is for those who have proven their worth in raids to be called a 'Raider' in Sacred Coven.

Centurion - Once a member gets acceptably "grizzled" he or she is promoted to the rank of veteran. This is based on regular participation in guild events and requires nomination by an Officer and approval by the Guild Leader. Centurion are expected to help out, participate, answer questions, and lead groups through instances and raids.  Centurions will be able to recruite and should do so using thier best judgment.  A Centurion will not be held responsible if they recruite somebody who does not work out. This rank is also known as the 'Core Raider' rank.

Evocarti - This rank is for those who have raided with us, dedicated themselves, shown leadership skills, and have challenged themselves to take upon the responsibility as a raid leader or a class leader.

Prefect - Once you have proven your self as not only a skilled player, dedicated, responsible, reliable, and a leader, you will be given this rank. This rank is known as 'Officer'. The players who have gone above and beyond to prove their worth.

Imperator - These folks have been nominated and voted on by the other High Chancellors and rubber-stamped by the Guild Leader. Imperator can hold organizational positions in the guild and are expected to help organize and lead events (instance runs, PvP events, etc.). They also are responsible for settling disputes, and overseeing the general well-being of the guild.

High Chancellors - these members are the council that guild the guild in all matters.  Important matters will be settled by a majority vote.  They have the full support of the guild leader to handle individual matters as they see fit.  This rank will initially be bestowed by the Guild Leader and future members will be elected by the High Chancellors and Guild Leader as needed.
